Oklahoma: Cities May Regulate Medical Marijuana via Planning and Zoning
Breaking news: The Oklahoma Supreme Court ruling could open the door to a statewide focus on the legalities of current and future medical marijuana licensed facilities.
The Oklahoma Supreme Court stated that cities may use “standard planning and zoning procedures” but not prevent marijuana businesses from opening a business.
Thousands of facilities have been operational without any local zoning regulations. If applied retroactively this could force current licensed operators to relocate or close their doors to medical marijuana patients.
